Designing and painting the cow was the highlight of this unit of work. It was a big job to incorporate all the ideas of the students and to settle on the final design. Everyone had a chance to paint and the enthusiasm of the students was fantastic. This has been a community project with help from many people. Thank you to the many teachers who offered suggestions and supervised the artwork. A big thank you to Sarah Mackieson who allowed us to take over her art room and whose support and help was much appreciated.
Thank you to Dairy Australia who supplied the fiberglass cow, without whom the program would not have been possible. A big thank you to Martin’s Hardware who generously supplied all the paint for this incredible project. Thank you to Timboon Motors who will two-pack the cow making her shiny and weather proof. These businesses provided their services free of charge and their support has made this project possible.
Lastly thank you to the students. Your ideas, your designs and your skill with the paintbrush has made this project an enjoyable and valuable learning experience for all involved. The 3/4 Team
